    Portal 1 Android Hell Area

    I wanted to talk about an area from the first game that I rarely see talked about considering how i believe it's one of the funniest jokes in the series. In chamber 16 in Portal 1, Glados mentions Android Hell and calls it "A real place where you will be sent at the first sign of defiance.". Later in the escape sequence section of the game, you end up in a small room that's lit with an eerie red glow (although you see a lot of that in this portion of the game) and has broken and torn apart robots scattered across the room. Glados then tells you that "You're not a good person" and that "Good people don't end up here" hinting at the fact that this room is the Android Hell she mentioned earlier. This is one of my favorite jokes in the whole series considering how easy it is to completely miss as I haven't seen anyone refer to this area as Android Hell or even mention this joke before and is one of the many reasons I love this games writing to death.

    This is an interesting behaviour I discovered earlier. This is what happens if you set the funnel speed to 0, you get immense speed when exiting the funnel

    In the song "Still Alive" (credit song for Portal), it says "there is research to be done on the people who are still alive, " then the next line is " and believe me I am still alive. " Interesting...
