    How big is Aperture Science?

    Posted: 26 Jul 2020 10:47 PM PDT

In terms of volume and square footage, how big is Aperture Science? Based off of the Detroit Salt Mines, starting at 1,100 feet down, and 1,500 acres, that puts the Underground portion of Aperture at 71,874,000,000ft³ (71 billion). Not counting the Above Ground portion, but I'll guesstimate for it, just for fun. I'll use the same, 1,500 acres because if Aperture owns the land they aren't going to waste it. I'll assume the walls are about 45 feet high, so that adds another 1,960,200ft³. A small dent in the grand total.

That is one big facility, but y'know, it's Aperture.

EDIT: The 1,100 accounts for all the stuff above the actual mines, but in the game, the shafts are miles deep, but I'm basing it off of real life.

Portal 1 GLADoS fight: turret doesn't come up after destroying second core

    Posted: 26 Jul 2020 07:44 PM PDT

I'm trying to beat Portal 1 again. In the final battle, the turret doesn't pop back up after I destroy the second core. The walkthrough I watched showed the turret being up for the final core. Is this a bug? How do I fix this?

    Thanks for any help :)
