Why does it harm her to destroy the cores in Portal 1? + Theory Posted: 08 Nov 2021 10:51 PM PST Never really thought about it but Why does destroying them hurt her? I'm assuming that since she didn't start dispensing the neurotoxin until after we incinerated the first core, they're still connected wirelessly somehow (although why do they need to be plugged in if that's the case? Maybe it's just to activate them and then afterwards it's not completely necessary. That'd also work with Wheatley's boss fight + Wheatley not actually being attached to Glados directly while he was also feeding her the random information to dampen her intelligence). But anyway, what does that actually do to her? They all have their purposes, I don't remember exactly the reason for each one, but the anger core probably dampened her anger (like Wheatley her intelligence), curiosity makes her more obedient, etc. Maybe it was like an overload of emotions and she just couldn't keep control of herself or the facility? Is there a way to reach the kind of aesthetic look we had in the teaser trailer Posted: 09 Nov 2021 12:41 AM PST I'm talking about this one I really dig it's artistic look better than what we got, it's all chaotic and janky. Installing beta portals and increasing FOV and Motion Blur helped but what else could you do to reach this effect? [link] [comments]
Changing the sign in the elevator Posted: 08 Nov 2021 05:10 PM PST So I've been watching a lot of speed runners in portal and they have all seemed to have change the aperture sign in the elevator but I can't seem to find out how they've done it sorry if this has been asked [link] [comments]

Tell me all the theories you have and easter eggs to check out on this current playthrough! [link] [comments]
