Need help with Portal 2 on PS3? Game is running like crap, not like how I remember playing it 10 years ago at all. Posted: 04 Nov 2021 08:54 AM PDT Wife has never seen either Portal game, and she was super excited to go through the journey with me (and play the co-op campaign in 2, of course). We just finished Portal on the Orange Box collection for our PS3. We have two different copies of Portal 2 (the release version and the Greatest Hits). We've tried both copies, with and without the latest patch, with and without network access (stupid Steam overlay thing…), but nothing works. Within the first minute of the single player campaign, Chell is either stuck in the desk next to the bed, or Wheatley gets stuck outside the door, there's juttering, glitchy physics, and without fail, Chell flies up through the ceiling when the room is moving and just floats in midair. This is exclusive to this game. Portal didn't have very much trouble at all, and other games in our collection work great for the PS3. The poor performance doesn't just effect things graphically, the music and dialogue is spotty and goes in and out. In such a plot-driven and atmospheric game, it's really just unplayable. Anyone have any clue how we can get this working? Wife and I rarely get to play together, so it's a super bummer to not get to play this! submitted by /u/TheCreecher0 [link] [comments]
