Community Coop Test chambers not loading - Kicked back to main menu

A buddy of mine and I play alot of Portal 2 together. Recently we've had an issue where, after inviting him to play, it "loads" but then kicks us to the main menu

Not "disconnected" (we've gotten that before), but now a full kick as if i just loaded the game.

Has anyone had the same issue and fixed it?
