Interesting portal theory. Posted: 21 Sep 2021 10:45 AM PDT In portal 2 they stated that the facility will stay running in as few as 1.1 volts. And assuming they are using nuclear power they would have about a decade before the reactor would go offline from decayed fuel rods. And assuming there is a battery backup. The main character got woken up when the reserve power ran out. And estimating that the battery located underground has a generous lifespan of 15 years (5 years in discharging state) with the moisture in the ground corroding contacts and whatnot. The reserve power ran out in 15 years meaning she was only asleep for 15 years. Meaning portal 2 took place 15 years after portal 1. submitted by /u/9gag_better [link] [comments]

My take on not portal 3 Posted: 21 Sep 2021 09:33 AM PDT You know Valve, and we know they are not going to make portal 2, that why I think they'll use another storyline, maybe something that involves Rattman, my man has done lots of things for Chell, so I think it is a good idea that being Rattman is a good idea, maybe it starts the day they connect GLaDOS and we slowly see how he manages to help Chell, with his own portal gun (I dunno why but I personally think a purple and green portals will be cool) and what happens with him, I mean, he is the only reason why chell is alive in the distant future before Wheatley and PotatOS arrive, Also, we wont have to worry about any NPC companion, apart on how will his companion cube behave, because I've seen those fan animations in which Wheatley becomes an android and I am not fully convinced submitted by /u/Pablutnio [link] [comments]
