    Idea: Thinking with Portals: The Ride.

    I made this idea while listening to "The Part Where He Kills You" and I think it's a good one. This ride/experience would be around 2 minutes long. What happens during the ride is a kind of mix on what happens during both Portal 1 and 2, with you going through the Aperture Labs, using portals to make your way through while meeting characters along the way. Then halfway through the ride, Wheatley gains control of the facility and you have to stop him, with the ride transitioning to a Portal 2-ish kinda feel. It's basically just like the game but more compressed to fit around two minutes. I really like this idea and I hope Reddit likes it just as much as me.

    The story

    Hi guys, is anyone else like obsessed with the story? This is my favorite game of all time! And it's not about the gameplay its the story and how it was constructed. I find myself searching for more and more lore about it. Especially after Chell got out at the end of 2. Like what happens???

    Portal 1 least step challenge records?

    Finally played through the game a few days ago and now I'm having fun with the challenges. While I still like playing the time challenges the most, I think for least portals/steps, figuring out the optimal ideas is more fun.

    After a lot of trial and error I managed to beat chamber 15 with 25 steps. I started wondering how low you could go, but all the videos on youtube are not very well planned routes with like 40+ steps and a quick google search yielded no results. But I found a video of someone doing chamber 18 with 0 portals (someone in the comments said with some patched tricks?) and it included stuff like even exiting the elevator with 0 steps. Sooo, are all the chamber clearable in 0 steps with some crazy tricks + TAS? At least I already know I could shave off 2 steps from my route with a 0 step elevator so even if it isn't 0 for all the chambers, there's definitely room to go lower

    Edit: just saw that the one in the vid goes out of bounds too so I'll ignore that

    I know that if I was really into speedruns I'd buy a PC, but I just have always wanted to get faster at playing Portal 2 with what I have. Small victory, but I feel great. Looking for a 2:30 next time.
