I'm worried about preserving the history of aperturescience.com on the wayback machine Posted: 17 May 2020 07:29 PM PDT As you may know, flash is shutting down by the end of this year, effectively wiping out a majority of the internet's history. And as I'm sure many people are scrambling to find ways to preserve these programs and websites for the future, can somebody please make sure to archive aperturescience.com and all of it's previous versions as seen on the wayback machine in some way so we can keep this information for the lore and this overall nice experience as a website? As a huge Portal fan I want this site to live on but seeing that I know nothing about computers I sadly can't do anything about this. If anyone is willing to take up this task and preserve this website, then the entirety of the Portal Community will surely owe you eternal gratitude. Thanks, and remember to think with portals. Posted: 18 May 2020 02:28 AM PDT I have an issue on Portal 2 Co-Op : when I open the taunt menu or the ping tool menu and I move my mouse, it just moves the camera and I can't select any of the different options. Anyone know how to fix that ? [EDIT] : nevermind, my controller was just messing with the game, I just had to unplug it [link] [comments]

Posted: 17 May 2020 08:56 PM PDT JK Simmons being Cave Johnson in a prequel or a flashback = literally best movie of all time. Even better if we see Caroline as a person with us being able to see JK Simmons' final wish to be for her to be put in a robot body instead of him. Also bonus points if it JJ Abrams actually makes the movie, but makes the plot unique and canon so it's not just Chell, Wheatly, and Glados so it's fresh for people like me that know the main story to heart. Bonus bonus points if this comes out before the Half-Life movie and the post-credit scene (or vice versa if that movie comes out first) has either the Black Mesa incident in a quick shot of frantic scientists (or in the future but I prefer the laboratory story more than the apocolyptic stuff) to set up the Half-Life movie. Please, JJ Abrams. I hope you get a good group to work on these two movies if they are even going to happen :) I am tired so sorry for grammar. Also bonus points for Adrian Shepard coming back so he's canon (I like Blue shift and Opposing Forces so even if Dr. Rosenberg is in the Half-Life movie I would be delighted). [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 May 2020 08:37 PM PDT I saw on a Youtube post that Adrian Shepard's name from Half Life: Opposing Forces is scrambled in Portal (1) and I was thinking: I would love to see like what if G-Man used Adrian eventually to infiltrate Aperature laboratories to obtain some data or intel if he decides he doesn't want Gordan and Alyx to get to the Borealis and then he himself can do whatever his "superiors" want him to do (if he is telling the truth about that) with that technology, or maybe the Combine get to the Borealis first and then G-Man gets Adrian to get that same data from Aperature itself and Adrian has to play like cat and mouse with GlaDOS where she sends many many robots after him. Like I feel like if that would happen, in terms of it used more of the puzzle aspects of portal and using the barnacle mechanic in a better way than the original with some occasional shooting of giant grasshopper people (or whatever that experiment was) or robots to adhere to the militarized profession he is under. New to the Portal series, Need help Posted: 17 May 2020 12:11 PM PDT Hello! I just finished Portal 1 and 2 and I would like to know what should I play next, because I saw there's more games, like Portal Stories: Mel, Aperture Tag, and Portal Prelude. I know that they are mods but when does these games take place in the Portal timeline? Which should I play first? [link] [comments]
