    Online i found pictures of a portal themed PC using the same model as the ones in the first portal game. Since im a huge Portal fan i wanted to make this but the I realized that i dont know how to make anything, i dont know how to make a pc, i barley have any money or supplies to build with and i dont even own a monitor. Anybody have any advice?

    Portal Guns are likely powered by Exotic Matter (Xen Crystals)

    The reason I'm bringing this up is that everyone goes to the conclusion that the Portal Gun either makes no sense at all or that the common theory is it "uses a black hole" or "extreme amounts of energy" (people probably got that one from Game Theory..), and that's just simply wrong. Yet it can be powered by that much energy, (black hole could be for power as well). it just simply makes no logical sense on how they'll get that much energy.
    I'll explain in detail:

    Primordial wormholes are predicted to exist on microscopic levels, about 10–33 centimeters. Exotic matter (known as Xen Crystals in HL), which should not be confused with dark matter or antimatter, contains negative energy density and large negative pressure. Such matter has only been seen in the behavior of certain vacuum states as part of quantum field theory.

    If a wormhole contained sufficient exotic matter, whether naturally occurring or artificially added, it could theoretically be used as a method of sending information. so Valve is giving us pretty much straight forward info on how the Portal Gun works.. it's powered by Xen Crystals..

    Aperture has affiliations with Xen, so that's neat.
