Posted: 28 Jun 2021 11:44 PM PDT Title. Or will I have to play through the campaign twice to get all the gestures for both characters? (I'm not talking about the purchasable gestures in the shop, I'm talking about the ones that you unlock by progressing through the co-op campaign.) [link] [comments] | ||

Obscure Portal Fact of The Day - Toscin Island Posted: 28 Jun 2021 03:33 PM PDT (SPOILER FOR A SMALL PART OF EPISTLE 3 PLOTLINE, AS WELL AS PORTAL 1 & 2'S ENDING) TLDR: Aperture Science is located under the lake bed of Lake Huron! and Above Aperture is located on Toscin Island and possibly surrounding Islands In Mark Laidlaw's (The Writer of Half life) letter about Epistle 3, he states "Toscin Island having the drydock for the Borealis (making the assumption that's Aperture) being in Lake Huron"as we know he disguised many names of characters and locations in that letter, also, he mentions the Borealis drydock being in the facility (and we obviously see the drydock in Portal 2). So Boom! Aperture Science is located under the lake bed of Lake Huron!however I'd like to elaborate with more theory-esque stuff, Toscin Island could likely be the island the lobby/entrance (at least one of them) is located on the surface. such as the wheat field at the end of Portal 2, and the parking lot at the end of Portal 1, obviously, it's implied there are more locations than that. as well as that we see a poster of the enrichment shafts, which at the top we can see a mountain, with a vault-door kind of thing. I suppose that's part of the island as well. Now I have theories, perhaps Aperture uses Hydroelectric Dams?, we know they use Fission and Geothermal, but that could be another one, might as well use the nearby resources. Also, I bet that Aperture has a bunch of floating-light-harvesting systems, as we know in a GLaDOS line that the light bridges are harvested from the surface. or maybe Aperture just used the previously existing land on this island(s) for the light harvesters, it just seems less efficient. Also, I'd like to hear other people's thoughts in the replies, thx [link] [comments] |
