I like to play Portal in different ways every time I play, like anti gravity, HL2 weapons, etc. Today I played it on a 15 year old laptop!

Rick, Wheatley and the space core do not have the speed required to escape the gravitational pull of the Moon, this means they crashed into it in the next couple of minutes.

Any tips for first time playing portal 2?

    Posted: 02 Jun 2020 03:23 AM PDT

I have been a fan of portal and half life for quite a while, portal was one of the first games i ever played and i have replayed it countless times, tf2, half life, half life alyx, all of them i love, but somehow i never got around to portal 2, maybe it was too intimidating after so long with the original one, but after a while, I decided to buy it, i just started it and man is it beautiful, I already know that wheatly is evil from just being around the community, but i dont know how or when or why, anything I should know going in? Every valve single player game i have played had been a smash hit, and many people say this one is no different.

Anyone else wondering what happened to the Adventure Core (Rick)?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2020 07:40 PM PDT

When Chell shoots the moon at the end of Portal 2, Chell look at Wheatley to see not only her portal gun being sucked out of her hands into space, but Wheatley being detached as well. Not only that, but we see Rick the Adventure Sphere pop out of his socket on Wheatley and through the Portal into space. I honestly do wonder what happened to him, because surely Wheatley would see him from time to time since Wheatley (and by extension the Space Core) and Rick were sucked into Lunar Orbit. Anyone here got an explanation? I'm stumped.

After waking up from a very deep slumber, we encounter a few wrong turns, a few cases of accidentally getting myself trapped, a turret that might be friendly, and another in need of a diet. - Perpetual Testing #137 “Lost in Aperture | Part 1 | Still Alive” By Tukaan

Why can Portal and Portal 2 run so well on my very crappy laptop that can barely run worse looking games?

    Posted: 01 Jun 2020 03:15 PM PDT

Portal and Portal 2 is able to run at like 50ish fps, while something even like Minecraft Bedrock Edition can hit 30.

    Portal VR

    Posted: 01 Jun 2020 07:02 AM PDT

About a month ago, I posted in this subreddit about working on a Portal VR game. Sorry I haven't posted since. I'm still working on the game, however, I just wanted to make somethings clear. I only have a little experience with game design so any game I make right now can't hold a candle to Valve's Portal. Also, I'm only one person, a 16 year old high school student. Regardless of this, I'll keep trying to make something great. If anyone here would like to test the game so far (even though it's quite bad at the moment), just comment down bellow what VR headset you use and I'll send you the game when it's a little more ready. Also, if anyone has a little experience with Unreal Engine 4 and would like to help, that would be greatly appreciated.

I only get lag when I move my mouse. What can I do to help?

I’m probably reaching here, but I have a theory.

So towards the end of portal 2, in that room with the conveyor leading into the spike plate, where you have to use the speed gel to get to the next room, Wheatley starts talking about his lair. You can use a bomb to destroy the screen in that room, to which he will take that gesture as a sign that you're going to not take his advice, then he goes on to say "may the best man win" which he corrects to "may the best sphere win". I think Wheatley is making a fat joke with his corrected line, calling not only himself a sphere (which he literally is), but also calling Chell a sphere/fat.
