My ideas for Chell and an Aperture Laboratories stage in SSBU (It’s not going to happen but a girl can dream.)

    Posted: 09 Feb 2020 09:25 PM PST

This has probably been done already so I didn't want to influence myself by looking at other people's ideas. Here goes...it's rather lengthy. First off, Chell doesn't jump high in the games so I thought that should carry over to her moveset, as well as her moderate speed. However, in the Portal 2 "Long Fall Boots" trailer, she is shown to be fast and agile in the air. I have used these attributes to create a move set consisting of strong kicks, punches, and various items. Chell is completely silent in Portal 2 and although her face model Alésia Glidewell voices Zero Suit Samus in the Smash Bros. games, Chell should remain silent to stay true to her character. I have not figured out percentages for her moveset and I'm sure some of the moves are bland/impractical due to not being able to test them. I also don't have fancy names for the attacks aside from the final smash. Suggestions are welcome for anything!

Moveset Grab- Hold onto opponents and objects using portal gun

    Grab attack- Knees opponent

Forward throw- Quick spin, releasing opponent from portal gun to send them flying

Backward throw- Whip opponent away with portal gun, followed by a single kick

Upward throw- Toss opponent up with portal gun, followed by a single punch

Downward throw- Toss opponent down with portal gun, followed by a stomp

    Dodge- Quick side twist

    Moving dodge- Somersault

    Aerial dodge- Backflip

A/A combo- Single kick or a series of kicks and punches

    A left/right- Spin kick

    A up- Uppercut

A down- Cube falls out of tube above opponent

A running- Two portal panels sandwich the opponent for Chell to run into and attack from behind. The opponent can use these as well.

B- Place a turret that shoots for 3 seconds

B left/right- Panel appears with excursion funnel to draw opponents offstage, disappearing after several seconds

B up- Aerial faith plate jump, good for slamming into opponents

B down- Portal panels sandwich Chell so projectiles pass through and she is unharmed

Side smash- Runs on propulsion gel to slam into opponent or avoid attacks

Up smash- Portal panels appear above and below opponent with a thermal discouragement beam that is hard to escape

Down smash- Chell falls through a portal on the ground and comes out of one above opponent to hit them

    Control stick left/right- Shove

Control stick up- Small hit with portal gun (This is the only attack using the portal gun to hit someone because I'm not sure if they're built to withstand repeated damage like Samus' arm cannon.)

    Control stick down- Low kick

    Jump- Small hop

Double jump- Bounce on panel covered with repulsion gel

Aerial A- Front flip kick into opponent

    Aerial left- Backward kick

Aerial right- Double slap with left hand

Aerial up- Aerial faith plate bounce and upward punch

    Aerial down- Downward plunging kick

Final Smash- "Your Precious Moon" Chell shoots a portal to the moon which sucks up opponents

Side taunt- PotatOS appears on Chell's portal gun and plays the slow clap noise

Up taunt- A radio appears at her feet, playing the Portal 2 remix of Still Alive

Down taunt- Sits on a weighted companion cube

Animations Entrance- Steps through portal, maybe alternating between blue and orange for each new match

Idle- Looks around and shifts weight

Swimming- Slow, struggling movements as a reference to her inability to swim in the games

Balancing- Leaning back, trying to reach behind her for something to hold onto

Sleeping- Curled up with portal gun beside her head

Dizzy- Shaking her head and stumbling

Lying on ground then getting up- Lying flat on back, then picking up portal gun before standing up

Stamina K.O.- Falls on knees then face

Winning 1- Drops down from a great height, landing with a thud on her boots before straightening up to pose with her portal gun held close to her

Winning 2- Stands with her portal gun held up a bit in a triumphant stance behind a row of four turrets aimed at you. The turrets reference the four found twice in the game as an Easter egg and at the ending cutscene.

Winning 3- Slides through a portal on propulsion gel before posing with her portal gun held down at her side. A test chamber can be seen through one of the portals.

Kirby Costume and Ability- Chell's ponytail and turret

Boxing Ring stage title- Dangerous Mute Lunatic

Costumes 1. Portal 2- Half zipped jumpsuit, tank top, and long fall boots

    1. Portal- Zipped jumpsuit and original long fall footwear

    2. ASQTD- Original Portal outfit but the portal gun or otherwise called ASHPD (Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device), is swapped out with an older version called the ASQTD (Aperture Science Quantum Tunneling Device). It looks like a large, mechanical backpack and is a reference to a silhouette of a man wearing one on a sign found in Old Aperture.

    3. Mel- Blonde hair, blue zipped jumpsuit, and original long fall footwear. A reference to the scrapped idea of a second player named Mel in Portal 2.

    4. GLaDOS- White hair, amber yellow eyes, white half zipped jumpsuit with black trim, black/red/white sections on tank top with red Aperture Laboratories logo, black long fall boots with sky blue trim

    5. Wheatley- Silver hair, blue eyes, silver half zipped jumpsuit with black trim, sky blue tank/silver/black sections on tank top with black Aperture Laboratories logo, black long fall boots with silver trim

    6. Bendy- Black hair, eyes, zipped jumpsuit, and long fall footwear. A reference to the stick figure "Bendy" seen in the Portal 2 logo and the Perpetual Testing Initiative.

    7. Caroline- Brown hair, dark blue eyes, all white, half zipped jumpsuit, red tank top/light pink/white sections on tank top with light pink Aperture Laboratories logo, and all red long fall boots. This is a reference to Caroline, Cave Johnson's assistant as seen in a hidden portrait.

Aperture Laboratories Stage The main platform is made up of the gray, movable panels that make up the test chambers. One panel is below the stage with an orange portal on it, and another is above the stage with a blue portal on it. These two platforms could serve as a way to recover, hit an opponent through before knocking them off the stage, or for jumping through to smash into an opponent. The main platform moves through Aperture Laboratories, stopping briefly at memorable locations such as GLaDOS' chamber, Old Aperture, and various test chambers seen in both Portal games. In the background are different characters such as GLaDOS, Wheatley, P-Body and Atlas, cores, and turrets. Objects flow through tubes such as cubes, other junk, and maybe even a certain beloved cake. A possible hazard for GLaDOS' chamber could be her robotic arms trying to grab you and drop you off the stage.

So, back in February or March of 2011, a demo version of Want You Gone was leaked on the Steam forums. Might anyone still have the original mp3 of this?

Portal 2 crashes after loading screen. Google is useless as usual.

    Posted: 09 Feb 2020 01:51 PM PST

The game boots up normally, but no matter what save I do, even new game, the game goes black after the loading screen and then it closes. I don't know what to do, I've verified the game filed, and it said the game was perfect so Steam is obviously fucking lying to me about this. I've even reset my laptop, I've even deleted the game and reinstalled it.

Google is useless as I already said. Everything shows crashing on startup rather than my problem. and the steam community posts on this are full of people whining about it rather than providing solutions to it.
