Posted: 27 Dec 2020 11:22 PM PST (All chambers mentioned are in Portal 2 Singleplayer.) Some examples: Obviously there are characters that can speak to show their sentience, these including GLaDOS, Wheatley, the Sentry Turrets, the Space Core, the Curiosity Core, and every other core we see in the game. Then there are other things like that show character through movement, like the assorted panels and lifts. In some sections, you can see panels on the wall seem to look at you before moving, or the one in Chamber 10 that is "playing" with a Weighted Storage Cube. The lifts and sliding platforms have their supports wiggle a little rhythmically as well. There are also some things that seem to be able to sing. Of course a notable example is the Weighted Companion Cube in Chamber 07, where if you get very close to it, you can hear it hum the ending song. You may also notice that when a Thermal Discouragement Beam Receptacle is activated, it will make rhythmic noises, which vary depending on which chamber you are in. Finally, there are some things that are implied right outright stated to be sentient from voice lines. In Chamber 07, GLaDOS refers to the Companion Cube, saying, "They are sentient of course. We just have a lot of them." In Chamber 12, after Wheatley shuts down the door by dropping them into the mechanism, GLaDOS says, "I just went and spoke with the door mainframe. Let's just say he won't be, well, living anymore," which implies that the door mainframe was once alive, or simulated to be. GLaDOS also refers to the reassembly machine as sentient several times during the Co-op campaign, for example, "I know you like to think the reassembly machine is at your beck and call, but he has a life you know. He's not your slave." It's little things like these that make me love this series and universe so much. [link] [comments]

Which portal games did you play? Posted: 27 Dec 2020 02:21 PM PST If you did not play portal 1 you should really try it. It's way better than Portal 2. [link] [comments]
Got Portal 2 does it work with VR? Posted: 27 Dec 2020 10:13 AM PST I recently got portal 2 for the xbox 360 and the the game is a blast! But does anybody know if the portal gun works in the VR mode for gmod? Because I'm planning on replaying the game in VR to prove my friend I could play it in VR without getting motion sick. Posted: 27 Dec 2020 07:01 AM PST Alright, we know that the turrets have a bunch of ammunition inside of them. When we fizzle them, no bullets drop on the ground, meaning they also fizzle. So let's say the play got hit by a couple of bullets. When the player passes through the gate, would the bullets inside the player fizzle? If so wouldn't they just leave an open gunshot would, and a big one since the turrets fire 75% more of the bullet? How does Chell heal that? Does glados give her medical attention?
